Si! Estoy muy excited to tell you about my latest addition to my Spanglish Coffee Mug Collection; this baby right here, featuring my hand-lettered artwork, reads "Me Siento Muy Excited!" I mean, who doesn't love a good Selena Quintanilla quote, right?
I've also listed the artwork as a digital file that can be used with Cricut and Silhouette machines, so you can cut the design on vinyl and decorate your own tumblers, mugs, t-shirts, etc.
Trust me, once you start using this design in your craft projects, people will acknowledge your Corazón Latino and good taste in music. Entónces tu también te vas a sentir muy excited. ?

Not your mama's wrapping paper, but definitely inspired by her: "Pa' Que No Estés Chingando"2/11/2020
Spanglish post: Hijole, como chinga my daughter con su "I need a new phone". I know it's 2020 and she has an iPhone 6s, as do I. Pero es que no los regalan! At $800+ each device, gotta use them till either they die or we do. Lol. PERO, my hubby has a soft spot for his little girl and already said he'd buy her one. When? I don't know, pero whenever the time comes (I'm thinking for her birthday in July), I have the PERFECT wrapping paper for it.
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce my new printable wrapping paper design, featuring a birthday cake composed of stacked lettering that reads; "Pa' que no estés chingando". It's definitely not yo' mama's wrapping paper, and definitely not something you'll find at Target pero I'm sure que your mom would have wrapped everything, hasta los frijoles y los tamales in this if she would have had it available when you were little. Haha. And who needs Target anyway when you can print this at home on 8.5x11 sheets of paper - print as many as you need for ever and ever, for one low price...you know, pa' que no estés chingando. Haha. J/K. ?

New in the shop: It's January 4th, Christmas and New Year's Even have passed and you've probably already seen swim suits out while shopping. I don't care how much the retailers want you to look into the future, the truth is, it's still way too cold outside and only a warm cup of café con leche can motivate me to get out from my under my Mexican Tiger blanket it the the mornings. You're like me, this mug's for you, my friend. Cheers!

Que Party Tan Fancy was born in early 2010 with the idea of providing beautiful invitations and party supplies en Español para la comunidad Latina. I then started a full time job in the fall of the same year and it got put on the back burner. I’d post new items for sale quite sporadically and didn’t advertise much. Then in 2015 I started this new little hobby called hand lettering which transformed the way I look at art. Not only did it make me realize that drawing letters is an actual art form, but it inspired me so much, I’ve been drawing daily ever since which has resulted in TONS of new artwork. Most of it en Ingles since I participate in lots of lettering challenges here on Instagram. But I also started lettering phrases en Español that came from my soul. It wasn’t until recently that after posting another Spanglish piece to my @paisleyinparis IG account and translating the meaning of it for my audience that I thought “Why don’t I just start a new IG feed where I don’t have to have to translate?” You know, para evitar l fatiga. Haha! ~ Anyway, I’m glad you’re here. THANK YOU for following y les garantizo que nos vamos a reir mucho juntas porque growing up, mi familia gave me lots of material to work with today.
I did my first pop-up of the season this weekend in beautiful downtown Palm Springs hosted by Interstellar Comic Books & Gifts. In the last year, I’ve only done a total of three pop ups and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each and every single one of them because of the connections and friendships I’ve made. The first two times I participated in an event I was selling Lipsense and while I’m still a Lipsense distributor, I put that on the back burner to focus on the stuff that makes my heart sing; creating unique, colorful hand lettered gifts and greeting cards featuring puns and feel-good phrases in English, Spanish AND Spanglish. Below is a short compilation of my Instagram stories that I shared the night before the event as I practiced setting up my display. Let me know what you think! Aside from doing pop ups around town, I’ve also decided to host hand lettering workshops in my home and in the homes or business locations of friends and family. So, if you’re in the Coachella Valley and you’re interested in hosting a lettering workshop or pop-up shop, please send me a note! I’d love the opportunity to co-create an event that is fun for all.
I have a Zazzle store at QuePartyTanFancy.com that I have neglected for many years now, but it's time I show it a little TLC. Obviously, I'm missing an opportunity by neglecting that side of my skills set. I speak Spanish fluently and if I combine it with lettering and cute illustration - hello Spanish market! Sigh...so many ideas and so little time. Do you ever feel that way? Like if you had an extra 20 hours a week you'd be creating greatness, running an empire AND running marathons too? Lol. Well, obviously I do!
I've been designing stationery for many years now, but hey why stop there? Thanks to Zazzle I can add my designs to household items and create gifts like this one, para el hijo o hija de tu (pinche) suegra, or for that special someone in your life that you adore, but annoys the crap out of you! Because love is not always roses and smiles, it's also about tolerance and putting up with a bit of nagging or whining every now and then. Hey, we're only human. Now let's be honest humans. If you dare! ;) 60 years ago today, in a small town in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, my mom came into this world as the 3rd born out of 10 kids total. And you know what? My dad also happens to be 1 out of 10 kids so yes, I have a huge family with lots and lots of tias, tios, cousins - and I wouldn't have it any other way! I love being part of such a big family, and most important of all, I love that she is my mom and that she gave me awesome siblings - ha! So, happy hump day my friends! And to this amazing, smart, strong woman of courage and faith that I get to call "mom", a very very Feliz Cumpleaños. I love you mom!
