Hi there! I'm so very excited to announce the launch of my new e-course Lettering Bootcamp, where I share the techniques I've learned throughout my own hand lettering journey which have taken my skills from "Eww!" to "Hey - that's nice!" (as shown above).
The course is designed to guide you through the process of exploring different techniques that will lead you to develop and refine your own lettering style. If you know how to hold a pencil in your hand, you too can create beautiful hand lettered art! No need to have "pretty writing" to begin with, simply apply the techniques provided in this course to give your hand made letters an instant polished look. However, it is through daily practice and application of the various techniques that are covered in the course, that you will really begin to see the difference in as little as just 2-4 weeks. It won't be long before you gain the confidence to embellish the world with your hand made letters! Wondering what else you can do with this craft? Well personally, I was able to raise $1,300 in just a few weeks to help pay for my daughter's band competition expenses. After accumulating a few thousand dollars in medical bills, I found myself in a situation where I had to either deprive my child of an opportunity to travel with her school band to compete at a national level, OR try to raise the funds to pay for the trip. I opted for the latter and decided I would do so by selling hand lettered coffee mugs. My fundraiser was a success! It was also a lot of work and I faced a few challenges which you can read about here, but I'm very grateful that not only did I discover a hobby I enjoy, it's also a hobby that allowed me to earn extra income when I needed it most. After hearing stories of the sacrifices other parents made in order to send their children to band competition (like the single mom who sold her TV and dining set), I decided to create an affordable e-course where I would teach everything I know about hand lettering and lettering on mugs. My hope is that everyone who takes my course will benefit on many levels - from enjoying the challenge of learning a new skill to finding relaxation while working on the lettering drills and making new friends who share the same interest.
