Improving your lettering and illustration skills is easy! It can be done through daily practice, while investing only 10-15 minutes each day and guess what? You don't have to chose between the two! Use your strengths to your advantage
So, for example, let's say that you are pretty confident with your illustration skills, but want to polish up your hand lettering abilities. You will find that by practicing both lettering and doodling simultaneously, you'll be happier with your artwork, even if it's just a practice piece. And the happier you are with your work, the easier it will be to remain encouraged to practice and maintain momentum in your growth. 'Cause let's face it, it's easier to give up when you see something you don't like, right? Well, by infusing your strengths (illustration) into your lettering artwork, you'll enjoy the process a lot more and most important of all, you will quickly begin to see letters as shapes, unlocking a wealth of creativity you didn't even know existed within you.

Share your work
Sharing your work on a social platform such as Instagram, will allow you to find a community of people who share your interests, who will inspire you and whom you too will inspire with your artwork. It is also very rewarding to scroll down your feed and see the improvement in your work from one week to the next. The best part is that eventually someone will like your work so much, they will want buy a piece (or two, or three) from you. More money for art supplies - yay!
