Red Robin was giving out pink carnations to all moms dining at the restaurant on Mother's Day. As we were driving back home, close to sunset, I noticed just how beautiful the sun was reflecting off the moisture in its petals. Instead of looking completely pink as it did indoors, the sunlight brought out an array of colors ranging from dark orange to gold. An absolutely beautiful sight that gave me a new appreciation for all carnation flowers. I'm happy I was able to capture a glimpse of it with the camera on my smart phone. It's funny how we often look at things and think nothing of them, we either interpret them as visual noise or not even notice them at all, but when you stop to look at them under new light you discover their real beauty, their value and place in this infinite universe, and all you can say is "wow."
